  • Polytone Mini Brute III loose part

Picked up a Polytone Mini Brute III ~1987 nonfunctional at a yard sale. Have since made it produce sound by doing obvious solder repairs and wiring work. But have one loose part that came with it, no idea where it would belong. Hope someone here knows more then me, or can point me in right direction. Part is marked .01z ulr

    Thanks

    0.01uf cap.

    Power switch maybe?

Enzo is right, the schematic shows a 0.01uF cap on the power switch as the ground cap. If yours is missing it could be from there.

If the amp still has that cap in position, could it be from the preamp circuit board? The blue caps on the board look newer.

ULR could mean UL Recognized which might indicate a widowmaker grounding cap or an anti pop one across power switch.

Amp can work perfectly without any of them.
