Can I have a little help identify some sockets.

Hi All, these aren't quite amplifiers, these are an EHX Nano Pod and a Digitech Whammy and I'm struggling to find matching input jacks, I was hoping someone here may have done the leg work already in a previous repair

The input jack on the Nano pod has contacts than no longer close completely and doesn't grip a plug very well, the Whammy is missing the chrome feral, I don't have one with the same thread pitch in my junk parts box so I'll need to order either a matching one or replace the hole thing.

I've been through Mouser and can't find a match for the Nano pod, it's similar to an Ampphenol but the ones on there aren't off center. The Whammy is probably a Neutrik with one pin removed, but I'm not entirely sure.

Any ideas welcome

They look like the jacks that Roland uses in the Jazz Chorus.

They look like the Neutrik jacks. Mouser carries them. You'll need to check yours specifically to find the correct part number. Maybe NRJ6HM or similar?

Ah yes I did find those but was 50/50 if they were right, the originals have no branding and the socket is a slightly different design, but it's the closest I've seen so far. The original is missing one of the sprung contacts, but I don't think having all three would be a problem. I'll measure the leg spacing with some calipers and see how close it is.

The jacks with the chrome Sleeve thread/washer is a Cliff Jack S4 series, TRS, with the S4 EMI/RFI Screen. These are offered in various PCB mtg height, so you need to know the height of the jacks you have installed. I've attached the data sheet to assist in that. Neutrik also makes a similar part, though I don't see the grounded Screen part on the front of the jack in their catalog

The other jack looks like a Neutrik NRJ6HM-1 part, it having the grounded metal bushing. I've attached that catalog as well.

Some of these you can find at Mouser, probably Digi-Key. Might also check with Studio Sound Electronics, as they carry a lot of various jacks, including hard-to-find ones.

The grounded star washer thingie on front is a separate part.

And aside from MOuser et al, amp part houses also sell them. AES and the like.

Thank you guys, I found some one off sellers on ebay so I'll await the postman and see how this works out. In the mean time I've removed the Neutrik looking one and found this logo on the bottom.


SC makes me think of Switchcraft, but I don't think it's one of theirs.

The Cliff ferrule did not fit the existing Digitech jack, in hindsight I should have measured the one it had and then compared it to the Cliff technical drawing, oh well I have a spare part for the drawer.

On closer inspection the existing ferrule is a finer thread and longer, much more like a Neutrik NYS215. It's a shame I don't have a box of spare bits to try, at this rate it might be easier just to replace the entire jack
