May have had something to do with the amount of voltage under test versus actual circuit voltage.
now those pics you posted can follow-up on post 43?
Or if you have replacements on hand put new one in and see if not . Followup on 43

I went ahead changed out Q1and 2 and nothing. Problem stayed the same. I started chop sticking around again with no reaction. Then I went to take voltages on the metal cased diodes CR6 and CR7. There it showed about 40v on each then I probed the other end of one of these and I think I touched the metal case to the leg of the diode and it arced and shorted. I know, what a clod. Anyway I threw a 1n4007 in its place and the amp is working great now. I’m going to leave for a day or two because I don’t trust that it’s actually fixed. This amp had already came back to me once. The last time I got to a similar point where I thought it was working, playing hard and loud without a problem. The customer took it and it immediately started in with the same nonsense.
I suppose I should change out the other diode CR6 or 7, I’m not sure which is which, but at least the components will be symmetrical.
