Bypassing graphic EQ Acoustic 450

Hey guys,

I am somewhat new to amp repair and modification and have a Acoustic 450 here on the table.
The graphic EQ has broken sliders and the inductors are gone aswell.
So I thought about just bypassing it so that the normal EQ works and the amp is functional without the graphic EQ.
What is the best way to bypass the graphic EQ? I tried just decoupling it but I had like a 50% volume drop on the amp then

Did you just jumper from the in to the out of the EQ? Did you disconnect the eq as well? It shows same signal level at in and out, so you should have no loss if you bypass it.
Or does it just seem that way because in it's broken state it is actually giving a boost?

In fact the output of the EQ circuit is low impedance, so just jumpering in and out will result in considerable loading and signal loss.
So at least the output of the EQ should be disconnected.
