  • Marshall VS265 Unbalanced Stereo Output Issue

I have a VS265 (schematic attached). The right channel output is extremely louder than the left. You can barely hear the left speaker when playing it.

I have ruled out the speakers. I can probe/hear the difference at the output of each channel with no speakers connected.

    Any thoughts or suggestions?

    Thank you, MarkO

Not sure if this is significant but I read 1.5K ohms across the right channel output and 20K ohms across the left.

I may have found the issue. Looks like those big 7W resistors need a reflow. I will report back.

Are the two DIs even or are they also uneven? Are the headphones even? Plug an external into each extension speaker jack. Are those also affected? Does turning the chorus feature on or off make a difference?

All is good after reflowing the big cement resistors.

          Thank you!
