    This is the same issue I noticed with the first tube that was in there. When I swapped tubes my HV came back, but now it is gone again. I wonder if the tube socket is causing an intermittent problem.

    I re-checked every pin connection, all wired properly, no shorts to other pins (with or without tube inserted).

      I vote that the tube socket seems to be highly questionable, as you mentioned irregularity on pin 3.

        If you don't have a replacement for C6 right now, you can at least disconnect it and see if you get stable plate voltage.

          Tried that, V went up to 2.5V instead of 1.5V. I also installed a new C6, no difference.

          Time to find a source for a 7 pin chassis mount socket.

            If you haven't replaced the plate resistor yet, it could be opening only when voltage is applied. 100K would be ok for testing.

              Wow! Installed a new 68K plate R, that was the issue... Tremolo working!
