  • Power trans EVH 5150-3

I have a 5150-3 with a bad power transformer. Measuring the secondary wires , unplugged , i have no acv anywhere but on the filament tap i have 119vac , should be 5.9vac .
So , doubting that Fender will sell me one ( i did email their support) , can you tell me where to buy one ?

Just looked at the service manual and the transformer is indicated as unique Fender part.

If you needed a water pump for your Chevy car, would you call General Motors for the part? No, you'd call a dealer or a parts store. Your schematic calls out Fender part number 0079095000

Contact a Fender parts seller and ask if they can get it.

119v on the heaters ... ! It is highly unlikely to be an accurate result.
Remove a 6L6, have you continuity between pins 2 & 7 of the valve?
If yes, you are mistaken regarding the 119v measurement.
I would firstly expect to see a pair of burnt up 100R resistors. R165 &166 if you have that much on the heaters.
Support for Fender, Laney, Marshall, Mesa, VOX and many more. https://jonsnell.co.uk
If you can't fix it, I probably can.

Yes the 2 100ohm burned up with no tubes in the amp . Pulled the 2 filament wires off the pcb and have 119vac between them . All secondary pt wires un-hooked . No fuses are blown , not even the 7 amp for the ac heaters.

The rest of the secondary taps have very low ac

              Might be "ghost voltage".
Do you have continuity between the 2 filament wires?

Proves that the PT is bad and the 119Vac was ghost voltage.
