    Hey nevetslab! Did you ever figure out the cause of this oscillation? I've got one on the bench now with the exact same symptoms.

      I've had several Rockerverbs and only one with that oscillation (maybe two). I don't remember exactly the system I used, but in that amplifier the "absolute" sound in high distortion is not with the gain setting at 10 but a little lower (8.5/9...) which allows manipulation to deal with the conflicting segment.
      The first thing is to try differents 12AX7 on the input tube since I saw some dependence on the model. I remember I used an ECC83JJ wih medium transconductance. Afterwards, the treatment I think was around the plate resistor of the second triode. I probably replaced the 100K resistor with a 47K/47K divider with the capacitor coming out of the center point.
      Of course the original capacitor must be cut since being a box type it is not possible to unsolder it, and a new one must be used.
      If I had another one in front of me with that problem I would use that system to try.​
