Hey all....I have a Peavey vx 1.5K on the bench. Peavey said it is the same amp as a CS 1800. Anyway. Channel B won't work. As in zero sound and the power indicator doesn't light up at all. I checked to see if it was stuck in "bridged" mode and it is not. Are there any common problems that are known about these amps that I need to be aware of before I start digging into this thing too deeply? 120V AC is definitely getting to both of the HUGE power transformers in this thing and I'm about to start taking measurements on the secondaries but I wanted to ask youz guys first. Thanks!

I still have a bad back from moving a few of those on my work bench.
Check the power supplies both main power and op amp power.Support for Fender, Laney, Marshall, Mesa, VOX and many more. https://jonsnell.co.uk
If you can't fix it, I probably can.

Ha Ha! I use one to hold my garage door closed in the storms we have been getting.
I won't repair these and to be honest, we can't give them away anymore, not even as scrap.
Good luck but they are very basic.Support for Fender, Laney, Marshall, Mesa, VOX and many more. https://jonsnell.co.uk

Switch Mode power supply, class D amplifier section. Weighs in at 10lbs gross and produces 5kW RMS. People don't want to spend the money repairing old very heavy technology.
Working and employing a roadie, I have used them satisfactorily, but myself ... I won't entertain them because I can't manage them anymore. I have a hard enough time carrying my Taylor guitar in its hard case that weighs a ton!Support for Fender, Laney, Marshall, Mesa, VOX and many more. https://jonsnell.co.uk
