  • Anyone have Primary Wiring diagrams for Orange Rockerverb amps?

I have an Orange 'Wonderverb' of Stevie Wonders' (an Orange Rockerverb 100 with a factory special faceplate...212 combo amp). After finding one of the four PM EL34's was blown, I ordered a fresh set of Matched EL34 tubes, along with a replacement for the Ruby RRLV3AB3C1B tank...Accutronics 9AB3C1B. I plugged in a pair of the remaining EL34's that work and went to power this up. I think the Middle position of the power switch is Standby. Switching from there to ON doesn't change anything.

There are only four wires connected to the DPDT Toggle Switch. No change in Mains Current when I switch from Middle position (S/B) to ON (UPPER POSITION).

What am I missing here. In all of the Orange service documents I have, NONE have ANY AC Mains Wiring diagrams. IS THIS SACRED DOCUMENTATION??

OK, let me wipe the egg off of my face. I had checked all of the internal fuses, as well as that of the IEC Mains Connector module, but failed to have removed the HT Fuse at the end of the rear panel. T1A fuse was open. Replaced that, now have a working amp, other than only having three working tubes, leaving one out since the other power tube created a light show on my Power Tube Test Fixture. Which took out the internal fuse that was in series with the rear panel Mains Fuse. That was a 7A type 318 pig-tail fuse. Littelfuse type 318's are FAST BLOW! OPPS. Something I had left in place from the original wiring. That's now a wire, so just the Mains Fuse holder.

Still......question remains. Anyone have AC Mains Wiring diagrams on the Orange amps?

Looked through the ones I have and yes they are all missing. I guess to allow for international transformers.

They are pretty helpful if you mail the UK office though...

Thanks on that suggestion. I'll have a go at that shortly.

The replacement power tubes came in as did the replacement Accutronics 9AB2C1B tank (I had a typo on the Ruby tank: should have been RRVL3AB2C1B). Got all that into place and now have this amp back up and running.

Getting the mounting screws to hold the reverb tank under the two speakers is a real PITA. I didn't feel like removing the Celestion G12H speakers just so I could properly drive the two screws in. Had to do that with a tiny ratchet-driven # 2 Philips, after first driving in those screws with the tank removed and got the threads cut in far enough.
