  • My SWR Cali Blonde sounds fuzzy/echo

I need some help with this amp I am a newbie. my Swr sounds fuzzy echo through the cabinet speakers but when I connect to the external , headphone or any other jack to another speaker the sound is clear. I generated a 440 signal direct through the 12 inch and that sounds clear. not sure whats going on, any help is greatly appreciated. I am trying to fix this and gain as much knowledge along the way Aloha.

I'm pretty sure the headphone out, speaker out, and external speaker out are all fed by the same main amplifier in that unit. So, you have proven the amp is ok with your tests. It must be a speaker, tweeter, crossover, or connection problem after the amp output. What you describe sounds like coil rub to me and it may not be detected with a single test tone. I would get access to the speaker and see if you detect any coil rub pressing down evenly on the cone.
