I believe reflowing the tube sockets resolved the volume issue, but I'll have to scope the waveform to see what it got to. When I played thru it, it was definitely loud as I would expect for a 100W amp.

I didn't check the presence pot at the time as I could hear the 10kHz in the background and knew that needed to be resolved so I thought I'd tackle that and then check the overall level afterwards, to make sure it wasn't robbing any power.

I'm trying to figure out how the ground gets from the front pot board to actual ground. Those pot casings aren't all tied together with the traces and they don't use any nuts to secure them either.

Well I got it resolved. Call me out for not having the reverb tank plugged in when I was doing my testing. Once I did that, all of the oscillation went away. I was able to get about 80V pp into an 8 ohm load, good for 100W. Sorry that I didn't realize that plugging in the reverb tank, even though its pot was at zero, was going to impact testing.

I confirmed it was the tank and not the rear cover, which really surprised me, but it is working properly now. What a goose chase this was!

Thank you for your help and suggestions along the way!
