Anyone else run into the strange fan noise at startup with SVT-4 Pro amps? I have three of them currently that all do this.
starts out super high pitched and works it’s way lower till the fan kicks on… sounds just like a bomb dropping out of the sky.
I first assumed the fan bearings are just worn, but the noise is up until the fan starts… almost the sound of a camera flash charging up. But backwards. Capacitors? Or the fan motor itself possibly emitting this noise struggling to kick on? Strange noise for sure.
Hopefully some of you know what this is.
only lasts a few seconds at startup.. so not a major big deal. But it is a bit annoying having three of these that do it.
I’ve read on threads of people saying theirs always has done this. Doesn’t seem normal though.
