  • Looking for one LM3886TF

I'm trying to find any legitimate LM3886TF amplifier chips. Mouser has them on backorder for another year, but I'm needing one to finish a repair. Octopart lists many places that I've never dealt with and don't know if they are reputable or not.

I did try B&D, but they confirmed their in-stock status was an error. Does anyone have one they'd be willing to sell to me? Or know of any reputable places that have non-counterfeit stock?

    Thank you!

Have you tried the manufacturer? They have them in stock.

Support for Fender, Laney, Marshall, Mesa, VOX and many more. https://jonsnell.co.uk
If you can't fix it, I probably can.

I created an account there and it now shows them as out of stock.

Both the regular version (LM3886TF) and the lead free (LM3886TF/NOPD) show out of stock when I am logged in.

          Can't use a T type?

Yes, I would be able to use a T type. I'd just need to make sure to include the insulator. But, I haven't found any of the T type in stock either. Got any reliable leads?

Way expensive these chips! And this is probably a used chip. Syntaur is a very dependable company and I trust them. UTsource has a few listings that range $30-60+ for the IC. Edit: it actually says it’s new.

I thought maybe someone here might have one. I guess TI didn't have them in stock either?

Syntaur is definitely proud of them!

TI didn't have any in stock of any of the varieties.

And yes, g1, I was hoping someone here had one that they were willing to sell before I spend almost 4x the normal cost for one at Syntaur.

Got one on order from Syntaur and it shipped today. Though pricey, it was approved for purchase. Thanks for the lead!

Yeah I checked my stash here in the garage. I thought I had bought some extra for a Roland cube 60 years ago. I should have bought a bunch of those damn things. The one I found was a tda7293 or something. But I still feel like there are a couple 3886 chips lost somewhere. Wish I would’ve found them. Glad you got the part.

edit: that reads funny. No I didn’t get them 60 years ago.

Thanks, DrGonz! In my case, I'm looking for it to repair a Roland Cube 60D, just like you had. I'll pick up a few when they come back in stock next year and at a reasonable price.
