VS65R - No Output, Preamp works

My VS65R has gone sour. The preamp, gains, volumes, channel switching, tones, etc. all operate and have signal to the FX out & line out, but nothing at headphone, or speaker outs.....where do you begin testing?

Check your output transistors on the black heatsinks for shorts. Does it blow fuses when you connect the speaker. Does it hum ?

It turns out that by disconnecting and reconnecting the preamp to output section wiring harness, I got output at the phones, tested speaker output to an external speaker and got sound there also. I found an "open" in the Goldback speaker - Fried...? Ever been able to get one to come back to life>?
