I have a Kustom 72 Coupe that had a short across the .01 1kv capacitor across the leads before the rectifier. My question is , how is the value of this cap considered in the circuit? Could a .1 uf or 500pf 1kv cap be substituted? Does it seem odd that the fuse prior to the cap did not blow? The mains fuse did however blow. I have isolated the short to that cap for sure.
