After all the tune-up work and connecting to a temporary working 8 ohm speaker, all seems good.

I should also add that I was seeing extremely less current rise when using a guitar and connected to the working 8 ohm speaker.

A wave input, with enough gain, will eventually get you to max output power and max current draw for normal operation. The 8 ohm speaker will cut the output power in half so you will draw less current because of that too.

With a continuous power output of 100W into dummy load expect a mains current around 1.5A.@120V
