  • Need help finding a replacement transformer...

    I have B52- At100 with a bad secondary on the reverb transformer. I assume the single triode would need about a 10k impedance is that correct? And if so, when can I source a replacement? Thanks in advance.

    Have you tried Peavey Parts? They may still have some B52 stuff.

      You don't say where you are in the world. Here's one that will fit your 20 year old amplifier;
      https://www.electronicabaile.com/gb/...-o-transformer
      Support for Fender, Laney, Marshall, Mesa, VOX and many more. https://jonsnell.co.uk
      If you can't fix it, I probably can.

        He needs a reverb transformer.

        Maybe a Hammond 1750A would fit OK.

          Whoops. (Message to self; read twice and then react).
          Try here; https://www.mercurymagnetics.com/pro...b-transformer/

          This will work nicely.

            Did Peavy parts distribute B52 amps or something.?

              Isnt the input impedance too high? I thought a single triode needed to see about 10k.
              If not that will certainly make my life easier….

                From theory a single tube wants to see twice the load impedance of 2 tubes in parallel.
                From experience anything from 20k to 40k will work fine with a single 12AT7.

                  Oh I had it backwards thanks for the clarification and the practical application.
