Carvin HT150 power amp not powering on

Hi all, recently purchased a used Carvin HT150 power amp, was unable to use it until yesterday. Unit was described as working but is not powering up, green/yellow light does not light up. when on switch is activated you CAN hear a slight hum and if i press the eq expand button there is an audible pop. I have tried 2 plug ins but don;t know what to try next. the single fuse looks brand new. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Could be anything.
If through fleabay, report it as not working otherwise, good luck ... unless you know a good Carvin guy who can fix it for you.

It looks like a relatively simple chip output amp. As always, check power supplies first.
