A while ago I had a Magnatone MP-1 (schematic attached) and the electro-luminescent strip on the front panel was dead. I used the adafruit stuff from Digikey (1528-1240-ND) which was not quite as wide as the stock piece but still just wide enough (10mm lit width/height). It's cheap, around $10 US.
It comes in a 1 meter length with connectors on each end so you can cut it in half for 2 pieces. Used about 33cm so still have a usable piece up to 66cm left over.
The white one looks pink un-powered, so don't be alarmed, they didn't ship the wrong one.
I tweaked the resistor in series with the pot a bit to get a bit more range out of the dimmer control.
Also available in red, green, aqua and blue. Voltage range is 60 to 250VAC, so easy to set up in a tube amp if you want to add some bling.
Frequency can be 50Hz to 5Khz. It has an adhesive backing so 'peel and stick'.
