I would say that CTS are the classic pot brand for Fenders. How was the mouser one failing, what was going wrong? Peter.

The volume pot was making a loud popping sound while turning it. I tried cleaning it with deoxit and moving contact lube. Once I got the pot out of the amp I noticed a slight grinding when turning it.
