Fender Blues Deluxe

I have a 1995 Fender Blues Deluxe. If I plug into either input one or two the amp plays but cuts out after about 3 minutes. Then after a minute or two will come back on. Now if I tap the back of the amp at the input jacks you hear a click sound and it comes back on.
Any suggestions? All tubes are good. A friend had suggested jack contacts, but what is the likely hood both are dirty?

The effects loop jack may be dirty and require cleaning.
Connect a jack lead in and out a few times and see if that makes a difference. The act of plugging a jack in and out a few times, sometimes can knock the tarnish off the contacts and restore continuity.

Thank you so much. Took a Q tip swab dipped in alcohol and cleaned them.
