  • Ariatone 810 Speaker Impedance

I just had this old gem dropped off minus the speaker. It's going to get an isolation transformer, recap and a new speaker but I'm struggling to figure out what ohm speaker to use. It's a push pull 50c5 circuit and the OT turns ratio is 22:1. Class A 50c5 has a load resistance around 2500ohms.Schematics are not easy to find and the ones I saw pictured on reverb the speaker is blurry. The original speaker appears to be an Oxford 8FS-15. Thoughts on the replacement speaker ohm value?

I would assume it's a 15 Ohm speaker. That was a common speaker impedance in the old days.
Would result in an Raa of 7.3k, which seems reasonable.

I think I may tack in some filter caps, run a signal through it and into my dummy load setup to see which load gives me the most wattage.
