  • Princeton Reverb cathode bypass

I am working on a 1975 Fender Princeton Reverb. I noticed some anomalies in the circuitry that does not match the B1270 schematic.

Red Circle: V2 (12AT7) reverb driver tube pins 3 and 8 are missing the cathode bypass resistor and capacitor. In their place there is only a 470 ohm resistor with no bypass capacitor.

Blue Circle: V4-B (12AX7) vibrato tube pin 3 is missing the bypass capacitor and only has the 3300 ohm resistor. NEVERMIND The capacitor was hidden by the vibrato jack.

How will this affect the tone and performance of the amplifier?

I've seen 70s Fender amps using an unbypassed 680R cathode resistor at the reverb driver.
All I can say is that it works and sounds fine.
