  • Peavey Classic "Version A" Tremolo adjustment

    MEF Team....

As mentioned in the sister post, it looks like I have a Peavey Classic, Version A, with some mods. After examining the PC board, it looks more like Version A than B (with the two Bright and two Normal inputs).

The Tremolo is working but it does seems to have a deep sound. Maybe that is the way it came from the factory. There is a pot in the Tremolo circuit but I cannot figure out what it does. I tried adjusting the pot (connected to the FET) but I do not see any change in the waveform. The waveform in the image is from the MPF161 (Fairchild 2N5461 FET).

Any hints on adjusting that pot?

    Thank you in advance.

      Yes it is.... Thanks !!

Enzo post #13 answers that question. I guess it is not looking at waveforms or taking a measurement. You can adjust this "by ear." But I am sure there is an electrical point of medium and happiness!!
