Yes, the pot adj is kind of touchy. It depends on the transistor gain/leakage and the current temperature. All the way up seems way overboard. All the way down was very clean. But if i swap in other transistors, that changes. These must have been all over the map when new. I just built a few on pcb's and put a 500k trimmer in place of the 470k resistor. AC151 VI/VII appear to very noisy in Q1, they will work with stock values but lots of noise when guitar signal is off. Glad it's working.
