Roland JC-series question about speaker polarity

I've read that the speakers on these amps are wired out of phase. If so, would it be possible to rewire them so they're in-phase? (I wouldn't care about the built-in chorus possibly being phase-cancelled.)

Well of coure. Reverse the wires on one of the speakers.

Do you hear some defect in how it sounds now? Or are you just wanting to change things because you read something?

I've never heard the amp in person. Eventually looking to get a stereo 2x12 of some sort, one that has a stereo-effects loop. I want to be able to control the amount of inverted polarity with a volume pedal + an ABY pedal that has phase reverse, in the loop.
