I added a switch in my 5E3X2 to my B+ voltage reducer (from geofex mosfet follies). So this switch is a DPDT and will have these positions:
Position 1 = the B+ is stock wired directly to the OT center tap.
Position 2 = the amplified 50v zener will be in series with the center tap and B+ supply.
The switch I'm using is rated at 20amps/125v. Can someone please educate me on how much current/voltage will be running through said switch? Also, is it safe to switch while the amp is on? Finally, would adding transient suppression diodes or caps across the switch help?
