This amp:
Teisco Amps - History, Photos, Documentation
Has variable tremolo speed but not depth, and it's too heavy. I've tried changing the values of every component in the area; the changes either did nothing, killed the vibrato all together, or only changed the speed. I don't need an extra intensity pot, but I'd like to dampen it enough to be musical.
Any ideas? The vibrato circuit uses a 6AV6. The amp sounds great, by the way. I totally recapped it and replaced the blown speaker with a 60's 4 ohm Jensen C8R. It has a bit earlier breakup than my 64 Vibro Champ.
I recently used it backing up a singer in a 500 seat convention center "ballroom" (more church basement catechism than Cinderella and Prince Charming) and it sounded huge and majestic. Hah!
