Hey everyone! I was wondering if there were any cool mods to be had for a Laney GH100L. I'm trying to get like a MKIV sound out of it, or as close to it as i can get. Any advice would be awesome. Any pedals i should get that would help me in my tone journey? Also, i'm going to be getting new preamp tubes, and power tubes... Suggestions? Thanks!

you could turn it into a recto or stiletto, but a mark would be a full rebuild, since the marks and all other mesa models are fender based
you better buy a cheap amp like a peavey triumph for that
the triumph is already quite close to a mark circuit, but with peavey classic/ultra values
why don't you sell the laney and buy a $600 mark III or caliber .50+? -
I would love to, but i cant find anything local. Ebay doesn't have anything atm either. I guess what i'm trying to do is clean up my tone a bit. I love the distortion of the Laney, its just too muddy and fuzzy for me i guess. Ill try to figure something outComment
