crate vintage club 2110R tone stack inductor

i placed an inductor from a quartz travel alarm clock into the tone stack sink because the slm thick switch was not a desired sound. the result was impressive however i don't know whether this alteration could be improved upon were the existing circuit that's limited only to an inductor and resistor in parallel to ground, be expanded to include a cap too, either in series or in parallel.

the inductor came with a core to drive the pinion, so i utilized it as is. i'm certain removing the core would reduce the effective inductance which would change the response.
