Hello. This is my first post in this forum.
I have a Fender Blues Deluxe RI MIM that I would like to use with the 4 cable method. However, I understand these to have a parallel effects loop. Is there an easy way to mod these to have a serial loop?
What is the advantage of a parallel over serial? I guess I don't understand what the advantage of having some dry signal in the mix is.
I downloaded the schematic from the Fender website, and it looks like there is a connection from the preamp to the power amp circuit that would bypass the in/out jacks. It has a 100k resistor right before the preamp out jack that looks to connect back to the circuit immediately after the return jack. Is it as simple as either removing this resister or maybe putting in a volume pot there so I could blend in dry signal if I ever want to?
Thanks for any info.
