    I'm a little confused about how to wire a pair of cliff (isolated) output jacks while NOT using the typical Marshall impedance switch. I'm only using the 8 ohm and 16 ohm taps and just taping off the 4 ohm tap. So, I assume I wire all four (both jacks) inner lugs, near the chassis, in standard fashion to ground and attach the OT common to one of them... Do I then run the 16 ohm wire through both rear lugs on one, and the 8 ohm wire through both rear lugs on the other? Anyone help me out here? Thanks!

    Hold a jack in front of your face, and look at the contacts. SHove a plug into it and do the same. The CLiff jack should be very intuitive. Your plug has the hot tip and the grounded sleeve (shaft) of the plug. The jack has contacts crossing the top of the jack to make electrical contact with the plug. Those have solder lugs down one side of the jack.

    There are extra cutout contacts that open when a plug is inserted. When there is a plug inserted, these don;t touch anything.

    SO when you run a wire through both rear lugs, for example, the cutouts are irrelevant. The only real reason to continue the wire through the extra lug is for mechanical sturdiness or to facilitate wiring on to the next jack over.

    All you REALLY need to wire up is the plug-touching contact. One for the tip and one for the sleeve.

      Thank you Enzo. You are correct, it is intuitive. But since I'm varying from the hallowed Marshall "norm," I wanted a confirmation that I'm not going to screw up my OT!
