6V6 to 6L6 impedance question

  • 6V6 to 6L6 impedance question

    I have a Crate Stealth that uses 4 6V6's. I swapped out the 6V6's for 2 6L6's. If I remember correctly the closest impedance selection would be the same as for the 4 6V6's? In other words matched. Thanks Bob

    Edit...I think I may be very mismatched. 8K for a 6V6. 4K for a 6L6. Or do I have it backwards?

    Your thinking of 2 tubes, and your amp uses 4 6V6s.

      So with 4 6v6's parallel push/pull its 4k? That work make it "close enough for rock and roll" with 2 6l6's right? Bob
