So I have a single-ended Valco-made amp that uses the same tubes as a tweed Fender Champ- one knob, no tone controls or anything. I have been considering the idea of putting in a line out that would go from the speaker leads to a larger, probably solid-state amplifier, and keeping the speaker hooked up at the same time. I was hoping to then run my guitar into an A/B/Y box, run one side into the Valco amp and another into effects and the bass amp, for really clean stuff and for my EH POG pedal that creates sub-octave effects that seem to be too much for my tube combos. Then I thought I could switch between them or combine them with the ABY. Can anyone give me any advice about this idea?
