I basically want to install a footswitch with an LED into this amp to go between Bright and Normal, and only use one input. Is this possible to do without a relay?

Any way to make this amp "switch" between bright and normal?

How about an A/B box with an LED? There are lots on the market, and you can even find them that will select one, the other, or both channels...
This one is expensive, but is a nice one:

If you want to install it in the amp, you'd be better off with a relay, because you'd have to route the low-level instrument signal out to a footswitch and back on shielded cable, and if you run long cords, you'd get some high-freq rolloff.

I dont want to use an A/B box. I just want one jack for a simple layout on the face and be able to switch between bright and normal on a footswitch with an LED that plugs into the back of the amp. has anyone done this with a marshall style amp?

Weber does sell a channel switching kit, but it doesnt look like it has LEDs to indicate channel. Might be rather simple to add though.
