I'm thinking of swapping out the 2 per side 6L6 tubes in Peavey's rackmount amp. I emailed their tech support and of course they were all like no, no just the orignials please. I don't mind rebiasing but how many mA in the "KT88 is biased at 75mA" direction can I go? Would KT 66's work? I'm looking for some girth here. These amps are such a good buy.
