Loking for a Tweed mod for my Pro Reverb i found this

"1) Get rid of the tone controls
Yes, those tone controls reduce gain and scoop mids. The mod for this involves three steps. Looking at the back
of the volume pot, remove the wire from right lead and tape it off. Now remove the wire from the right lead on
the treble pot and solder it to the right lead of the volume pot. Looking at the board and coming off pin 1 of the
first 12AX7 you will find a 250pf cap connected to two 100K ohm resistors. Change the 250pf cap to a .02 mfd
@ 400 volts and remove one of the 100k ohm resistors. you have to be sure and remove the right one! The
100K resistor that is mounted longways (horizontal) on the board is the correct one to remove. Actually it is the
one that connected the 250 pf cap to the the .047 and .1 cap originally."

When he said ".02 mfd" i supose is talking about .02 microfaradays.. isnīt?

Yes, microfarads. The "u" in ufd is actually the lower case Greek letter "mu." It is drawn as a very pointy m which turns out looking more like a u. And since our keyboards have no Greek letters, u is a close as we get. In any case, in the olden days it was more often written as mfd than ufd, though both were used. Now days we have caps much larger in value than we used to have. You can find a cap of several FARAD capacitance in most parts catalogs. 40-50 years ago a whole farad would be nothing more than a concept. We no longer use "mfd" because it might confuse someone into thinking it meant millifarad. We would say nanofarad today for that.

And though "pico" was on the official list of units names, we didn't use it. Picofarads were called micro-microfarads or mmfs. Then uuf. Now we all use the term picofarad for the small values.
