  • Got any good mods for the normal channel in a Fender?

I'm always trying to come up with something for this channel to give me a different but good tone.

I've added a 10K midrange control already. What I'm leaning towards is changing the tone stack in some way, maybe the mid and bass caps to .022's, the bass pot to 1M, mid pot to 25 or 50K and the slope resistor to 56K. I guess if you know your Fender circuits the you know where I'm going with this one...

Anybody try this? Does it work well or sound like shite? Or do you possibly have a better suggestion for something cool to do with this otherwise unused channel?

Well I don't know what's in the bass cap now but a .022 will knock out some of the bass response - a .047 cap gives it a bassier bass (or has it got one of those already?)
