I have a 5150II that I was wanting to mod the lead channel to 5150 specs. I was then thinking that it'd be pretty cool to be able to switch between both voicings. With there being around 10 changes between the two versions, I'm thinking I'm going to remove the components from the board and wire out to a new circuit board I'll make. Have the different caps and resistors on that board and relays to switch between them. Then I can have a switch on the front of the amp to control the relays to switch between the voicings.
Does this sound doable? If so, I have no idea on what would be the best relays to use and where to power them from on this amp. Any help would be appreciated.
