  • Fender Tone stack mod

    Hi!!

I have read a lot of people had mod the "normal" channel of a Fender amp to a more Marshall sound. (myself do it last week )...

Which caps and resistor values do i change for a Hiwatt sound?

I know that an amp whit 6L6 is hard to sound like a hiwatt, but........ i wanna trying it!!!!

    best regards from Galicia

      ok....

So.....should i put a 47n cap for bass and middle.... and a 220pf cap for treble?

I supose the 47n value is the same as a 0.047uf cap......

No Choco! That won't work, you need to "paste in" the whole tonestac from the hiwatt, as it's completely different from the fender/marshall arangement. The two 47n (or 0.047µ) and 1n caps form a frequency voltage divider for example, (huh, i'm not even absolutely sure of this) but it doesn't function the same as the fender and marshall, which are simpler.

        Ciao.

        Max.
