    There is a 220k resistor at the 470K resistor output of the reverb circuit. This 200K resistor loads-down Both the reverb circuit output, as well as making the load o nthe 3.3M resistor greater. So, BOTH the dry and wet signal are getting attenuated due to that resistor. SO, why do you suppose it is in there to begin with?

    Why not substitute-in a 1Meg resistor there? Seems like a win/win situation.

    The value of that resistor sets the voltage division relative to the 3.3M (for the dry) and the 470k (for the wet) to what the original designer wanted. 1:15 for the dry and 1:2 for the wet. You can try a 1M there but it will change the ratio. You won't know if you like it until you try. While raising the gain might seem like a good idea to you back in the day it's not what the designers wantd.
