As some may have read in another thread, I am in the process of building a harp amp that combines a 5F6A PI with a 5F4 preamp. These two PIs have different biascircuits as well. The 5F6A has the one with the two 8µF caps and the 5F4 has the one with the single 100µF cap. Does each bias circuit work propperly with either PI and what would be the benefit/downside of using one or the other?
also if I make the 5F6 bias adjustable ... would I have to wire the pot in series with the 15K resistor, sitting between the two caps or the 56 K resistor going to ground (or whatever values I would use to get in a useable range).
