    I found this and thought to share the link. He's really captured the Variaced sounds and other mods (Cerem) as well. A great player too. Never read anything about the best value in Ohms or wattage yet to use with the EL34 plate loading option. Getting those output tubes to really sweat sounds good to me.

      Yes, he sure does it's incredible.
      I found out the value from a post from the mod's main proponent. The suggested value is 1K at 20 watts. I just picked up a 25 Watter at that value and will likely drop it in once the whole amp is set and dailed as is. A lot easier than most mods out there but it would be good to take Mr. Conner's advice and add some fuses for assurance.
