Sovtek Mig60 EQ mods needed

I am looking to tweak the EQ section on my mig 60 head. I find the amp to be way too bass heavy. Any mods to lessen the bass and get the EQ controls a little more useable in general? Especially the Bass-mid controls.

BTW...99% of the time I have to run the bass eq at zero no matter what cab I am using..1x12, 2x12..open or closed. Have tried dif' speakers as well. EV, Celestion, etc. My main guitar is a Gibson Explorer with med output paf type pups. Thanks!

Have you tried the tone stack calculator at duncanamps.com. Its very informative. Its a download, good to have around when performing mods. Itll show you what the eq will look like with the components used in the schematic.
