I've got a Fender Bandmaster with a PPI-master and the first channel used as an extra gain stage.
I've never been quite able to get this thing to sound the way I want it to, mostly due to excessive brightness. I guess this is due to the NFB loop being interfered with by the PPI-MV. This amp really can't be cranked up in the venues I play, it needs a master volume.
I've just about decided to throw in the towel on the post-PI MV and go with a Pre-PI mv instead, but I've also thought, "well, maybe a "CUT" control would remedy this"...
I've also thought about putting in a fifties Bassman style-PI, a pre-PI master, and a bassman or marshall style presence control, essentially "Bassmanizing" this amp...
Any opinions? Just curious.
