Fender super reverb SPST intensity mod

Has anybody out there try the pop free spst intensity mod on there vibrato circuit? i used this instruction http://priceamp.home.comcast.net/~pr...cs/tremmod.pdf
with a Alpha 50ka amp pot with SPST switch.


the problem is that range is not very good. i turn the pot on and i get nothing till i get it up pass 8, then by 10 is all the range i get. the mojo 50ka pot had great range from 2-10. is it the Alpha brand? is the pot more foucs on the "on"/"off" feature?
does anybody have insight to this deal? thanks dan

The schematic specifies a 50kRA (reverse audio) pot. With a regular audio pot you get the response you described.
Good luck finding a push-pull 50kRA pot.
