  • 5E3, want to add a reverb

Where is the best point to add a reverb to a 5E3? Could I incorporate that point also into effect loop connection. Any circuits on line that have this done?
    Thanks
    George

An Alesis micro-verb works well for Me.

      Trying to stay with tubes

I am trying to put together a 5E3 with the reverb driven with tubes to keep the amp all tube. I don't want to build the Deluxe Reverb with the tremlo.
I looked up the Alesis Micro-verb. It looks like decently priced effect. I will keep it in mind for the future.
      Thanks
      George

At the input jack. A 3-knob Fender Reverb Unit (all tube) should do the trick. You can even build it into a custom amp if you wish - Fender did just that with the Vibro-King.

The Add a Verb Chassis from Weber works well in a bigger cabinet like the Tweed Super, but i highly agree an integrated reverb on the 5e3 Circuit requires a tone mangling mixer and a series load that ruins the amp. You have to go front end for reverb on the 5E3. IMHO Mike

I tell you what... don't waste time and money or mod anything but do go out and buy one of these:

            Line 6 Line6 MS9 Verbzilla Reverb Pedal

KILLER reverb pedal, maybe the best one ever and as far as the tweed amps go, you will not ever think about tube reverb as an add on again!!
