Sessionte 75 Combo Amp

Hi Guy's I'm loving my 80's Sessionette 75 combo when playing rythem on (A) channel I get just the sound I like! However when I want to play a solo I just need the same great sound I'm getting to be slightly louder! Can I do a switchable relay mod like this on the Main gain pot? (Rough drawing attached) Or will I get nasty clicks with this method? Any better idea's or suggestions appreciated!

It would be easy to change the single Vol pot to a dual concentric to enable me to do this but I really need you electrocnics guy's to tell me if it's viable! Thanks in advance!

How about a clean boost pedal? Simpler to build than modding the amp.

If you ever need the amp to be serviced, I have had a few thru my workshop. Great little amps and fantastic sound.
I can also supply and/or install a new replacement power amp for the Sessionette 75 and other session models and matches the exact input and output specs of the old albeit now more reliable.
