  • Tweed Princeton Input Impedance Mod (keyboard use)

Do you guys have any recommendations on changing the inputs to a tweed princeton clone for use with keyboards? Right now it has a single input jack with a 1m and 33k resistor on it. Thanks!

    Have you tried it?
What are you after, a lower level of an input signal from the keyboard.

Yes, take it down a bit. Really, whatever would make it match up the best with the keyboard, I was thinking since the guitar is such a smaller signal, that the keyboard would drive it harder... I'm reducing a coupling cap to tighten up the low end as well. Will be running it with a full range speaker to handle it better as well.

Don't keyboards have an adjustable output level anyway?

Many Fender amps had two input jacks for each channel, labelled "high" and "low". If you plug into the "low" one you get 136k input impedance and a 6dB pad. I find this useful even for guitar, so I rigged up a switch for it.
"Enzo, I see that you replied parasitic oscillations. Is that a hypothesis? Or is that your amazing metal band I should check out?"
